Wilde Stein is UMaines Alliance for Sexual Diversity, and it meets every
Thurday at 7:00 in the Memorial Union (in the COE Lounge). All are welcome
to join us, including straight allies. During the meetings, we discuss organization
business, and issues affecting the GLBT community. There is also time for socializing
and conversation on any topic youd like to discuss. For more information,
feel free to email Wilde-Stein Officers or post a message in the Wilde Stein
conference on FirstClass.
GLBTQ Coffee
Talk
This discussion group is held weekly in 207 Little Hall, at 7 pm on Tuesday
evenings, and lasts until 8:30. The discussion group provides a safe, supportive
place for students to discuss issues related to sexual orientation. Topics
will be determined by the group and may include such issues as coming out,
talking to parents, dealing with friends, responding to harassment, sexuality,
grief, loss, etc. Those who attend are expected to maintain confidentiality

Transgender Discussion
Group
Provides an opportunity for people who identify
as transgendered or who are questioning their gender identity to safely,
and confidentially discuss relevant topics and interact with their peers.

Women Loving
Women
Meets every Wednesday from 3:30-5pm
in the Walker Room of the Memorial Union. The purpose of the group is to provide
a space for people who identify as love women to socialize with others. Weekly
discussion topics vary. For more information about this group please contact
the GLBT Liason.

Beautiful Bisexuals
Beautiful bisexuals is a group for bisexual persons to discuss issues relating
to bisexuality in a safe, confidential environment. For more information,

FirstClass Conferences
There are several conferences on FirstClass. Many of these conferences are
publicly accessible (some, such as WS Members is restricted to members of the
group owning the conference) however it is safe to read messages here, since
only moderators and the sender of the message can see who has read any message.
Please do feel welcome to contribute to these conferences if you feel comfortable
doing so. If youd like to post, but dont feel comfortable having
your name published, send the message to GLBT Moderator and indicate what message
you are replying to (if any) as well as the conference to which youd
like it posted, and we will see that it is posted anonymously for you. You
can also mail GBLT Moderator with any other questions or concerns relating
to the FirstClass Conferences.
Gay Mens Group
The gay mens group is a group for gay men to discuss gay mens
issues in a private, safe environment. For more information, contact Mark

GLBT Allies Council
Meets the first Wednesday of every month, from 9am-10am, in the COE Room of
the Memorial Union. For information regarding the GLBT Allies Council, please

The counseling center
has trained professionals available to help you with any problems or questions
you may have, or even if you just want someone to talk to. The Counseling
