Math 4 Me
Math
4 ME is no longer an active program-the model still exists
in the form of organizational materials. If you would like
information about this program, contact the WRC office
@ 581-1508.
Math-4-ME is a week-long residential camp for
high school girls focusing on mathematics, technology and a combination
of consciousness raising and life skills. In its fourth year,
Math 4 ME is an effort by the Women's Resource Center in conjunction
with supporting departments on the University of Maine campus,
to provide an exciting opportunity for high school girls in
Maine.
Goal: Provide challenging mathematics
delivered in a collaborative, innovative setting by instructors
who serve as role models, and to support girls as they enter
traditionally male-dominated fields. The philosophy behind
Math-4-Me is based on a commitment to changing the common experience
for girls in math.
Summer * 2002
