The Student Women’s Association (SWA) is a progressive, feminist student organization, open to all women. SWA builds community among university women and offers opportunities for political as well as social activities. The purpose of the Student Women’s Association is to improve the climate on campus for all women.
Programs and activities include:
- rape awareness programs
- yoga classes
- gay rights activism
- pro-choice activism
- the Beautiful Project
The Student Women’s Association works to keep the campus informed on issues of concern to women as well as providing members with up-to-date information on workshops, conferences and speakers that will enhance their college experience. SWA empowers women to take the lead on issues facing women.
