The National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) is an initiative funded by the National Science Foundation through the Puget Sound Center, to improve girls’ participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). NGCP promotes collaboration among girl-serving organizations to strengthen capacity of existing and evolving projects by sharing promising practice research and program models, outcomes and products. The Maine Project will be holding a kick-off conference Friday, October 10, 2008 at the University of Maine.

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Maine Women's Lobby, September 18, 2008 at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks.
The Maine Women's Lobby is a non-partisan, non-profit membership organization dedicated to increasing opportunities for women and girls through legislative action and by training women and girls to participate effectively in the policymaking process.
The Maine Women's Lobby has led the way with seven landmark first-in-nation laws aimed at increasing women's economic safety, protecting reproductive health, ensuring civil rights, and defending women against violence and discrimination.
